We all know that Christmas is knocking at the door, many activities, things to do and problems to resolve, that’s all a limit, because it takes some time and patience to organize a lovely warm Christmas feeling before and during the great celebration, that most people admire as the best in the year, I’m one of them. London has many activities and attractions prepared, but there is something particular going on since 1864, when tradition firs came out, and the members of the Serpentine Swimming Club jump right in the lake’s icy waters every Christmas Day!

Sounds cold and crazy? Yes, maybe, but they are all in hot pursuit of the prestigious Peter Pan Cup. The temperatures is four degrees Celsius in winter, but those brave ones are up at the 9 am in a Christmas morning, when most of us are in pyjama unpacking presents and walking lazy around the house, wondering whether to go back to bed or continue to celebrate. The name of the 100-yard race dates back to 1904 when J.M Barrie, created the boy who didn’t want to grow up, , presented the first cup.

If you are tired of the routine in Christmas as every year it’s the same, or you are one of those, who don’t like this celebration, get some fresh and cool emotions for yourself, breathe some fresh air on Christmas morning. It’s all in the Hyde Park, right in th heart of London, the Serpentine Boating Lake is one of the most pleasant places to experience summer in London that offers a wonderful wintry landscape. One of the previous years was snowing so much and was so cold, that organizers had to cancel the events, but there were still some cold lovers, that broke holes in the ice and had a quick dip. Don’t miss this on 25th of December at 9:00 AM, let’s get a fresh Christmas!
